First Fill

I had my first fill yesterday.  My hubby was their for support.  :)
I have a 11cc band.  It already had 4cc in it from surgery.  They added 2cc, so my total is 6cc.  I had liquids for 24 hours and lost 3.2 pounds.  I am down a total of 34.4 pounds.

My first two goals are to lose 40 pounds and to be able to wear my wedding ring again.

I just ate and felt full much quicker.  This is exactly what I wanted when I decided to have Lap Band surgery. I have good will power, but I also like to feel FULL.  Now I can use my will power and the band to help me achieve my fitness goals.

Today, I walked instead of driving to Rite Aid.  Yay ME!

Back to School

Today was my first day back to work after Christmas vacation.  I missed my students and loved all the hugs.  I also loved hearing other teachers tell me how thin my face is, that my pants are falling off and that I look great!

Vacation is almost over

I have truly enjoyed Christmas Vacation.  It was a challenge to be newly banded and have to go through Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year.  I am down a total of 33 pounds.  I am sure it would have been more if not for the holidays.  However, I am very proud of the restraint I have shown and my new found dedication to exercise.  I typically ride 10 miles a day on my exercise bike.  I look forward to adding weight training with our Bowflex and actually walking outside.  I signed up for the Shamrock Run in March.  It is a 5k and I will do the walking event.  This is something I would have NEVER done pre-surgery.  My first fill is schedule for January 17th, and I am looking forward to it.  I am so grateful for the support of my friends and family.  I am looking forward to 2014.

Loving my band

I was banded on November 21st.  I am down 8.8 pounds since surgery.  I have lost 3% body fat and my BMI is going down.  I am no longer in pain and I am riding my exercise bike 5 miles a day.  I have found keeping a journal is very helpful to record what I eat, my activities, weight and measurements.  My total loss including my pre-op loss is 24 pounds.  My goal is to lose 80.  I CAN DO THIS!
